Täng

The first time I visited Täng was in the autumn of 1990. I had already taken photos of historical monuments for a few years, but it was now that I started shooting rune stones also. There are two of them at this deserted cemetary (Vg 108 and Vg 109), and there is one tree-of-life stone lying on the ground in a sad state. The medieval church was torn down, and a new one was built halfway from here and Håle, so that the new church was called Håle-Täng. Håle also have two rune stones standing on an empty cemetary : Vg 102 and Vg 103.
Behind the bell-tower you can see Vg 109. "Gýi placed ... his father ... Áskell(?) cut(?)"
