Mellby

At Mellby cemetary there is no church at all, but a small chapel. It turns out that, like many other medieval churches, it was torn down in the end of the 19th century, and was replaced by a new one, that is situated some 200 meters away.
They used stone from the old church to build the new one, but kept the sacristy and made a grave chapel out of it. These stones fit better here, than next to a new church - good decision !
