The Oseberg Viking ship
This beautifully decorated cart was buried
along with the ship....
Below is a carving of Gunnar in the snake
pit.... and one of the four heads, that are in each corner of the cart.
They are all different....
There were also three beautifully carved
sleighs buried with the ship, but when I visited the museum in Oct 2003,
they were being restored again....
