Carlstens fortress was getting built after the peace treaty of Roskilde in 1658 ( when Sweden once and for all gained the provinces of Skåne, Blekinge, Halland and Bohuslän from Denmark ), to defend Marstrand from possible attacks. Situated about 45 km´s north-west of Göteborg.
