Þjalfi and Holmlaug had all of these stones raised in memory of Banki/Baggi, their son, who alone owned a ship and steered to the east in Ingvarr's retinue. May God help Banki's/Baggi's spirit. Áskell carved. |
This fine rune stone is part of the wall in the porch of Svinnegarn church. It is one of many Ingvar-stones. Read more about them here. "had all of these stones raised", it says. Perhaps there are more rune stones to be found in the walls of this church ? |
Jôrundr raised these stones in memory of Jarl, his son. May God help his spirit. |
This rune stone is standing outside Svinnegarn church. U 762, which is standing in Brunna, about 9 km north from here, has an almost identical text. That one is surely the other of "these stone", that are mentioned in the text. |
