This rock is only a few hundred metres from Skånela church. When I got there it was quite dark, and since the carving on this rock is not filled in I had great difficulties to take a decent photo. Using a flash would only highlight the grey rock. The lesson I learned : always to bring a tripod. When I get back here I'll take a better photo of this rock + another one nearby, that I didn't even get to see....

Early in March 2007 I did get back here, but the photos were not better even though it was broad daylight then. I cleared the snow from the rock, and tried to use the snow to fill in the text, but it was too wet. Now I won't take any more photos of it until it's filled in properly !
