Finnviðr raised this stone in memory of his brother Þórðr, Þjalfi's son. May God and God's mother help his spirit. He made the bridge in memory of his brother and (so did) Ása, their mother.

There is a creek about 100 meter from this rune stone, so it is possible that Finnviðr made a bridge across it, and that the stone is standing on its original site.
