This cross is made from a walrus-tusk, and it dates from around 1100 AD. Most of the text is in Latin, but it also contains the woman's name Gunhild in runes, which you can see on the photo below. It's at display at Nationalmuseum in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Hmmm - it seems I was more fascinated by the carving of the devil, than the runes.
