La Roche-aux-Fées
This impressive megalithic monument is situated some 25 km south-east of Rennes in Bretagne, France. Like Newgrange on Ireland for instance, the entrance is aligned with the rising sun at the winter solstice. It was built about 5000 years ago.

It is about 20 metres long, and there are around 48 blocks, of which the heaviest weighs about 45 tonnes.
