Mnajdra

About 500 meters west of Hagar Quim is another group of Stone Age temples. There are three of them, lying side by side. One of them is aligned with the equinoxes, so that the sun shines in through the passage and lights up the wall inside the temple. They date from about 3600-3200 BC.

When I was there in 1990, I only took 3 photos. It looks quite different today, 'cause they have put a protective roof over the entire site.
